MEETINGS
The Democratic Action Club of Chico (DACC) meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Beatniks Coffee House, located at 1387 East 8th Street, Chico. Our meetings are a chance to connect with friends, hear from guest speakers—including candidates, elected officials, and advocates—and take action on key issues. Beatniks offers wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and treats for sale, so grab a drink and join the conversation. Whether you're a longtime activist or just getting involved, we welcome you to be part of the movement!

The news is coming at us hard and fast—designed to overwhelm, confuse, and exhaust us. But we can’t afford to check out. We have to stand up, organize, and take action locally. And we have to do it in a way that keeps us energized, connected, and hopeful. That’s what this meeting is all about.
It’s time for the Resistance 2.0.
At our February meeting, we’re turning frustration into action by connecting you with local organizations that are making a real impact in the fight for justice, democracy, and community resilience. We’ll hear from several local organizations working on critical issues, each sharing how you can get involved—whether through volunteering, advocacy, or direct support.
But we’re not stopping there. We’re also launching two key initiatives to strengthen our local movement:
✅ Liaison Program: Sign up to be a DACC contact for a local organization, helping us stay informed and mobilized.
✅ Board & Council Monitoring: Keep an eye on the school board, city council, and county meetings—and report back to the group with updates and action.
This is your chance to plug into the fight right here in Chico. Join us, bring a friend, and let’s build power together.
